DIY Diamond Sneakers Tutorial

I bought a pair of white sneakers a while ago. Here in Spain these kind of tennis are pretty popular, but they are just plain. I decided to decorated them and here’s the result! Enjoy! 🙂

  • white sneakers (or another light color you can paint and draw on)
  • HB and H pencil
  • Acrylic paint
  • Brushes
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Nail Polish
  • Black Sharpie (or another color you like)

For those who have difficulties drawing you can choose a pattern, and use the HB pencil to color all the back side of the stencil you print. Then paste it with tape over the shoe to transfer the drawings to the sneaker using the H pencil.

How to:

I painted the back part of the sneakers with acrylic paint. I created a mint-blueish color. Make sure to make mix enough paint. You can customize as you like and  use your favorite color.

When the paint dries, draw or transfer you diamond doodles using your H pencil.

Choose two sparkly or shiny nail polishes and paint some of the diamonds.

Let the nail polish dry and use your sharpie make the diamond’s lines.

And that’s it! Enjoy your sneakers! 😀

If you don’t have time or the necessary material to make these feel free to contact me and I can make them for you for 25 euros plus shipping (10 euros).

Crochet frame tutorial

Posted on

I’ve been crocheting a lot these days and I want to share it with you! These frame are so cute and easy to make! Give ’em a shot!

  • Yarn
  • G hook
  • Scissors
  • Old bracelet (I used and old one but if you don’t have one you can always get some at the thrift store)

First of all make a not and get you hook inside it.

Then make a slip stitch around the bracelet.

Once you have the yarn around the bracelet, continue with single crochet all the way around.

Continue until you’ve covered the whole bracelet. Be careful not to leave loose stitches because then you’ll see parts of the bracelet.

Join with a slip stitch.

Now, here comes the tricky part. Skip 2 stitches and make 6 double crochet in the next stitch.

Skip 2 stitches and make a slip stitch.

Continue until you’re done with the whole bracelet. When you’re done join with a slip stitch. For the little hanger make 10 chain stitches and join with a slip stitch.

You can print cute things to paste, photos make you own art! Here’s what I’ve done 🙂 Enjoy!

DIY Leather Wallet Tutorial

Posted on

I was in a flea market the other day and I bought some leather scraps. Here’s a fast and easy tutorial to make a little wallet.

NOTE: Since you are sewing leather it’s important to use the appropriate kind of needle. I use this SINGER model which is very good for sewing thick material.

  • Leather straps
  • A 20 cm zipper
  • Key ring
  • Sewing machine

Cut 1 piece of leather (6×4 cm)

Cut 2 pieces of leather (8×11 cm)

Sew one of the big pieces to one of the sides of the zipper

Sew the zipper to the other leather piece

Fold in half the 6×4 cm pice and sew it in the middle

When it’s ready sew it to the bottom of the wallet (where the zipper closes)
Sew the remaining parts of the wallet  and add the little piece with the key ring and done! 🙂

DIY Heart Friendship Bracelet Tutorial

Posted on

So I was bored today and I started to make friendship bracelets 🙂

Here’s the tutorial

  • embroidery thread (you need two different colors)
  • Scissors, tape and a pencil (or a clipboard instead of tape)

Step by step

Remember that each knot is made by 2 knots in each string.

  1. For each of the strands 50 cm (or more if you want an anklet instead of a bracelet)
  2. Cut two strands of each color
  3. Fold the strands in half, place the pencil and tie a knot. Then use the tape to hold it still on a table or use your clipboard.
  4. Place your strands in this order: C1 C2 C1 C2 C2 C1 C2 C1 ( C= color and the color of the outside strands will be the color of the heart shape, in my case it was red = C1 blue =C2)
  5. Make 3 knots going right and 3 knots going left (from outside to middle) and then join them in the middle with a knot.
  6. Repeat the last step, but now with the second color and make another row.
  7. Take the second string and knot it around the first one going left. Then take the 7th string and knot it around the 8th string going right.
  8. Fill in the space between the knots you made in step 7 (it will be C1) and join them with a knot in the middle.
  9. Take the second string and knot it around the first one going left. Then take the 7th string and knot it around the 8th string going right.
  10. Fill in the with C2by making two knots to the right with the second string and two knots to the left to the 7th string, and again join them with a knot in the  middle.
  11. To finish the heart shape, take the first string and knot it around the second and third and 4th (going right) and then take the 8th string and knot it around the 7th and 6th and 5th (going left). Join in the middle.
  12. keep going until you finish your bracelet 🙂

DIY Minion Slippers

Posted on

I’ve already confessed that I’m a huge Minion fan!!! So this weekend I made myself some cute slippers 🙂 Here’s the tutorial!!

  • Blue, yellow, white and gray yarn. I used ROWAN HANDKNIT COTTON
  • G hook
  • Two buttons
  • Scissors and needle

Using the yellow yarn
R1- Magic circle with 5 SC
R2- 2 DC in each stitch around (10 stitches)
R3- 2 DC in each stitch around (20 stitches)
R4- 2 DC in the next stitch and DC in the next one. Continue 2 DC and DC until you you reach the end (30 stitches)
R5-R11– DC in each stitch
Finish with a SS cut and hide remaining yarn. Now we change to blue.

R12– DC in the next 22 stitches. Chain and turn. (This will be R13) This is how we start the middle gap.

R14-R21– Continue with the DC.

Now this will be for a size US 7 for an extra size add 2 rows. 1 Row for 1/2 size.

Finish by sewing with a needle the two ends to create the heel.

Here you can play a little bit. I made a single eyed minion, but you can crochet anything you want.

With magic circle I started with the white yarn 4 rows and then 2 more rows with the gray one. Finally I sewed the buttons in the middle, sew the eye to each slipper and make some stitches to make the straps in the eye’s side.

Et voila! Enjoy! 😀

Feeling crafty

Posted on

So I was feeling a bit crafty and then I found some colorful string, random pendants and beads. Here’s the result! 😀

You can try it at home! You need: string, beads, any piece you like and you can even recycle pieces from old or broken necklaces/earrings/bracelets.
